Emile Henry Bakeware
Emile Henry has been in business since 1850. Their main office and production site is located at Marcigny in Burgundy, France. Their bakeware can be found at Williams-Sonoma, Sur la Table, Crate & Barrel, Bloomingdale in the USA, Debenhams, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Heals in the UK, Galeries Lafayette, Printemps in France. They make ceramic cookware and bakeware using their own special processes. The clay is mixed with different finely ground stones and water, according to Emile Henry's secret formula. They use a highly resistant glaze which does not scratch or craze
The glaze is so hard, you can cut inside the dish without harming the surface. Emile Henry bakeware is fired at 1150°C so the clay is extremely strong and resistant to chipping.
