Lasagna Recipe
Sauce:
1 can diced tomatoes
3 6 oz cans tomato paste
8 6 oz cans of water
5 bay leaves
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 clove minced garlic
1 cup diced onions
2 lbs italian sausage
Mix all ingredients for sauce except the italian sausage in a pot and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Brown the italian sausage. Cut int 1/4 inch slices and add to the sauce.
Cheese filling:
2 lbs ricotta cheese
6 eggs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tbsp chopped parsley
3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Mix all ingredients in a bowl
Lasagna preparation:
Cook a 1 pound package of lasagna noodles. Layer noodles, sauce and cheese filling in 1 or 2 large rectangular baking pans. Top with Parmeasan and mozzarella cheese. Bake for 30 minutes at 350.
