Bread Pudding Recipe 1
1 1/2 cups bread in pieces - no crusts
2 cups scalded milk
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp butter
Soak the bread in the milk and butter mixture for one hour. Add remaining ingredients. Beat with a mixer and put in a buttered dish. Bake for one hour at 350.
Bread Pudding Recipe 2
1/2 loaf of bread
2 cups milk
1/2 cups raisins
5 tbsp butter
4 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Break up the bread and soak in the milk for one hour. Beat eggs in a bowl with a whisk. Add sugar and vanilla and continue to beat until well mixed. Add this to the bread along with the raisins. Mix with a spoon. Pour the mix into a 9" x 5" greased loaf pan. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes.
