Banana Bread Recipe 1
3 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup shortening
1 1/3 cups sugar
4 eggs slightly beaten
2 cups mashed bananas
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Sift flour. Add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix until smooth. Add bananas and dry ingredients mixing (not beating) to combine ingredients. Grease two 9 1/2" x 5 1/2" loaf pans. Divide the dough in half and put it in the pans. Bake at 350 for one hour.

5 tbsp butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 ½ cups ripe bananas mashed
1 ¾ cups flour
1 egg
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup chopped nuts
Mix butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add egg, egg whites and the vanilla. Add mashed banana and beat with a mixer. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bake at 375 for about one hour.
